Healthcare providers are facing an increasingly complex operational landscape. To remain competitive, they need to leverage the data at their disposal to improve patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and provide high quality standards of care – all while controlling costs.

The creation of UPRs is necessary because good database design requires normalized data. House of Data: How the Segment of One is Disrupting the Media Industry

The media industry is in the midst of wholesale change, with cloud and mobile driving new viewing habits, partnerships and, increasingly, richer viewership data.  Cloud- and mobile-based technologies have given unparalleled flexibility to content consumers – be it via purchases, rentals, VOD, OTT or streaming.

The disruption and intermediation wrought onto the industry is a threat to some players, as witnessed by cord-cutters disrupting the ability of a Multiple-System Operator (MSO) to drive a bundled package of content.  Some in the industry have responded by rolling out a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) model.  Knowledgent believes the industry will need to accelerate its D2C adaption and create a more targeted approach to connect with viewers – especially as more “content creators” bypass traditional distribution networks and more “non-traditional” distributors enter the “original content” space.  As the entry barrier continues to be eroded, big data, and its ability to create the Segment of One, is revolutionizing how content is created and delivered.
