As part of Knowledgent Cares, our employee volunteer program dedicated to giving back to our community, a group of Informationists teamed up to fundraise and walk at a dog walk benefitting the Monmouth County SPCA on April 29th. The team raised over $600 for homeless animals!
The Monmouth County SPCA is a non-profit animal shelter that cares for the community’s homeless, neglected, and abused animals. Each year they invite animal lovers from all over the tri-state area to bring their dogs for a walk and pet fair with tons of dog-friendly vendors, music, food (for both species), games, and more! The MCSPCA raised over $134,000 at the walk this year. 100% of those funds goes directly to the animals and the services the shelter provides.
Our team had a great time walking with all the other dogs and their humans on the sunny Saturday in April at Brookdale Community College. After completing the 1-mile walk around campus, our team visited with the many vendors exhibiting, watched dogs run through the agility course, took a stop at the canine swimming pool, and even visited with a family of adorable puppies available for adoption!
The walk happens every year and we already can’t wait to have Team Knowledgent Cares return again next year!
If you would like to donate to the MCSPCA or adopt one of the many animals they have looking for a forever home, you can do so here.
