When you hear the term “March Madness”, college basketball often comes to mind. This year, as part of Knowledgent Cares, we decided to create a different “March Madness” of our own – a fundraiser for Foster and Adoptive Family Services.
Our New Jersey-based Informationists raised more than $700 for Foster and Adoptive Family Services throughout the duration of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament as part of Knowledgent Cares, our employee volunteer program dedicated to giving back to the community. The money raised was a combination of donations as well as a entrance fee to a tournament bracket pool.
Foster and Adoptive Family Services (FAFS) is a New Jersey 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides support, training and advocacy to meet the special needs of foster, adoptive and kinship families, who provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children in foster care. Children are placed in care because they are abused or neglected by their parents and it is unsafe for them to remain at home. With the help of caring people, FAFS helps bridge the gap between what the government can provide and what foster children actually need.
Knowledgent is thrilled to have held a successful fundraiser benefitting FAFS, and encourages anyone that would like to help them change the lives of New Jersey’s foster, adoptive and kinship children to do so by donating here.
