When you hear the term “March Madness”, college basketball often comes to mind. Each year, as part of Knowledgent Cares, we host a “March Madness” of our own – a bracket tournament for charity! This year, we raised the stakes – the winner of the tournament got to choose the charity that the donations would go to. We’re excited to announce our winner, Brian Kerrigan, chose the American Red Cross!
Our Informationists raised more than $600 for the American Red Cross throughout the duration of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament as part of Knowledgent Cares, our employee volunteer program dedicated to giving back to the community. The money raised was a combination of donations as well as an entrance fee to a tournament bracket pool.
“My chosen charity is the American Red Cross,” said tournament winner Brian Kerrigan. “Thankfully, I have never needed their help, but I know they are there for others in need.”
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and education in the United States, and in association with other Red Cross networks, throughout the world. They depend on the many generous contributions of time, blood, and money from the American public to support their lifesaving services and programs.
Knowledgent is thrilled to have held a successful fundraiser benefitting the Red Cross, and encourages anyone that would like to help them help those in need by donating or finding a local blood drive here.
