As part of Knowledgent Cares, our employee volunteer program dedicated to giving back to the community, a team of our Boston-based Informationists, lead by Tina Botti, raised over $1,000 to host a Family Barbecue Night on August 17 benefitting the Home for Little Wanderers. Teaming up with The Home, the barbecue was a huge success and a great time for all involved!
The Home for Little Wanderers is a Boston-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides a seamless continuum of vital programs and services for every stage of child and family development. The Home makes a positive impact on over 7,000 lives each year through a network of services including behavioral health, therapeutic residential and special education, adoption, and foster care. In addition, a number of innovative programs provide specialized assistance to youth transitioning to adulthood from state systems of care.
In anticipation of the barbecue, Tina Botti and Knowledgent Cares raised over $1,000 to fund the event. The barbecue, which was held on August 17th in Roslindale, Massachusetts, was a huge success. Many children and their families came to play games, like basketball, frisbee, and “Minute to Win It,” and enjoy the food that comes along with a barbecue and the company of other families.
“It was a very gratifying experience to see how our team and The Home were able to come together to plan such a successful event,” said Tina. “I’m very proud to be part of a team that was so eager to pitch in to fund the event, serve food to the families, and the best part of all – play with the kids! The participation from all areas – our team, The Home, and the families they serve – was astounding.”
Our Knowledgent Cares team truly enjoyed being a part of this event and look forward to working with The Home for Little Wanderers again in the future!
